 NORML Action Alert - Tennessee Legislature Considers Medical Marijuana Reform Support SB 209 and HB 368http://capwiz.com/norml2/issues/alert/?alertid=12671336The Tennessee Senate is considering Senate Bill 209, the Medical Marijuana Act of 2009. This measure, which seeks to allow for the use of medical cannabis by terminally ill patients, is now before the Senate Standing Committee, General welfare, Health and Human Resources.
As introduced, SB 209 seeks to allow state-qualified patients to possess up to eight ounces of medical cannabis and/or 18 plants (six mature, twelve immature).
A companion bill, HB 368, is also pending in the House.
