is he mentally ill? because when I saw him on the Colbert report I could not understand what he was saying hardly. I did hear he wants to fine you if you don't own a gun and thinks "nutcases" should be able to buy guns. I haven't seen any of his commercials on TV around here though. I've seen tons for the other 3 though.

3. My oldest and I went to vote earlier today. I voted in the Dem |
|
primary, but he and his Dad are crossing over to vote against Wamp and Smith.
After he voted and we were off to run some errands he exclaimed, "Damn, I should've voted for Marceaux!"
I'm hoping that Wamp is crushed and crying tonight and the Smith goes home, too. *crossing fingers*
It will be amusing to see how many votes Basil receives though.

4. He's almost at 2000 now. |

The question is, how many of them actually prefer that guy and how many just have a twisted sense of humour?

I've heard talk about him as opposed to the candidates running..in other words, the batshit crazy guy is preferable.
And I will state that the media frenzy around him seems a little cruel. He used to be our local (in candidate forums) joke..snicker, snicker, but what's happening to him on the national stage is kinda sad.
My son even stated to me a couple of days ago, "I thought it wasn't nice to make fun of the mentality deficient." But after he'd voted earlier today he did exclaim, "I should've for Marceaux!"

6. How weird is it that I wouldn't mind hanging with Basil for a beer or three? |
|
I should hate the guy but he is disarmingly honest about his opinions and even admits he's not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Otoh, I'm sure you can imagine what I'd like to do to his more successful competitors.

7. I honestly think that if I had 3 beers with him I'd be more |
|
than thoroughly confused as he rambles, talks in circles, etc. Hell it was hard to try to keep up with what he was saying completely sober.
When I checked this morning I think that he had 293 votes in Hamilton County. Wamp and Smith went down, but on a sad note a friend lost his county commission seat. Damn!

8. Lol! Either that or he'd start to make sense :) |
|
I'm sorry about your friend, kudos to him for even trying in such a red state.
