I think they need to rename my road Kerry Avenue. |
|
It is a sea of Kerry signs on my street (and mine is not even out there because I am selling the house - got a contract from a Republican in spite of it). On the other end of the street there are some Bush signs but up here it is Democratic Lane.
One interesting yard I have noticed is a big sign in the front yard of a house that says Bradley Is Back From Iraq. Today I noticed they had put up Kerry signs in the yard too ~ so that gave me a smile.

1. Only Republicans are allowed to rename every street, building |
|
and landmark after other Republicans.

2. Or tear down something historic |
|
and then name the new subdivision after the former historical site.

in LaVergne...seems to be pretty evenly split on yard signs. I saw a pickup in FL today that was covered in Marine Corps decals and custom Marine graphics...but on the bumper..."Kerry Edwards 04". I honked and waved.
Anytime I see someone with anti bush / pro kerry stickers on their vehicle, I always blow the airhorn and wave...then give them a thumbs up. I figure they probably take lots of crap from the righties...so maybe I make up for it a bit.

5. East Tenn support is REAL! |
|
There is definitely a lot of support in East Tenn. Our voter registration drive here over the summer was a HUGE success. On top of that we have actual headquarters in counties that haven't seen a D headquarter for ANY presidential election in over 50 years!
There are Kerry/Edwards yardsigns popping up all over Knox county, and even though the Repugs keep taking them down, we keep putting them back up. The Kerry/Edwards grassroots effort by the local folks is generating a LOT of excitment, we talk to Republicans EVERYDAY that come in our office shaking their heads talking about how they just can't bring themselves to vote for Bush.
Tenn will be a sneak attack win on Nov 2nd.
Remember early voting starts today!!! For those of you that can do it, go ahead and be the first folks to cast your ballot for K/E then spend the rest of the next 3 weeks getting your friends and family to do the same!!!

6. I plan to go vote this afternoon.... |
|
on my way home from work. It is so uplifting to read your post about all the K/E support in east TN. Davidson county will definitely go for K/E as will Memphis. I do have HIGH HOPES that TN will go blue this year!

8. I noticed the Kerry/Edwards billboard (close to the Knox Sentinnel) on the |

way back from Cherokee yesterday afternoon. Great location and I hope that you're correct in the "sneak attack win".
