I just watched Tennessee Crossroads and they did a segment about Ten Thousand Villages in Green Hills. I was completely unfamiliar with this place but know where I am going to shop now. They allow artisans from all over the world to sell their work at a decent wage and the main goal is social justice. There are only two paid employees at the store and everyone else is volunteer. They are part of a bigger project and have a website at www.tenthousandvillages.com
Maybe I will see you there!
