1. He's not that bad

Shami is far smarter than Sarah Palin. And not a hypocrite like Plalin either.

He didn't look into his palm during the debate. Not even once! Played it all from the heart.

is smart enough to know Palin and Perry are preaching poison. I've got the barrel in my mouth and I like the taste of gun metal. Thinking people stay away from poison preachers and guns, makes for a happy life.

4. Debate criteria=money

Face it. If Shami didn't have money, he wouldn't have been invited to the debate.

Good for him for coming here, starting a business, and making lots of money; good for him for wanting everybody to have clean energy, but he could accomplish all his goals for Texas without being Governor.

For one thing, his English language skills aren't good enough for expressing complex thoughts in a debate setting. He did very well, but often mixed up "moratorium" with something that sounded like "memorandum." English is a very difficult language, and he's doing extraordinarily well--for a business man. But not for politics, not yet.

5. I said the same thing earlier - he needs to start over

He might win a council race, a commissioner's court - something to build up his resume. You don't start out for the top job right away just because you have money blowing a hole in your pocket. I admire his personal story, and again do not begrudge his right to run. He's just not the most qualified for the job this cycle.

6. City council would be good, if he really wants to be in politics

I can't imagine why someone with his skills would want to be bogged down in politics, though. I see him as the "idea person" with the business savvy to convince the politicians to implement some of his plans. I think he'd be bored to death in politics, and frustrated that he couldn't do more. Being a CEO is really different than having to compromise and work with a bunch of legislators who have competing political interests.

7. I disliked the fact the he brought

Barack HUSSEIN Obama.... I honestly thought that had been put to rest. :(

8. He said that at our meeting

And, of course, he's trying to make a point that a person with a "funny name" like his got elected President--but his argument falls apart when you remember that Texas went for the guy named "John McCain"!
