Related items AUSTIN — New laws to conserve water, promote solar panels and disclose chemicals used in hydraulic fracturing have received a thumbs-up from a state environmental group.
Other measures the group considered hostile to the environment also passed, according to a scorecard released this week by the Texas League of Conservation Voters.
Texas lawmakers considered a large volume of environmental legislation, and a number of bills favored by the league became law, said executive director David Weinberg.
“Still, to be certain, the Lone Star State has a long way to go before it’s truly green,” Weinberg said in a statement.
