Rick Perry And Protesters: Does Slick Rick Use Dubya-Style Corrals? |
|
Now that Dubya's successor is officially running for President, I find myself scratching my head and trying to remember whether Rick Perry likes to use the same sorts of "protester corrals" that his predecessor did. I thought that Dubya's "free speech" zones were a disgraceful and un-American way of dealing with dissenters, having much more to do with the autocratic one-party regimes scattered around the Third World than an ostensibly free society dedicated to liberty and free expression.
If Slick Rick likes to use similar "free speech zone" corrals, I'd like to know. If he does, we ought to publicize the fact.

He's cut from the same "fingers in my ears" public listening policy as the bushie did.
He's going to play everything low key and not wade into areas where he can't make himself look good. So he won't be saying anything publicly about the "free speech" zones aka protester corrals.
