How do you Texas DUers feel about Perry getting so much applause in the debate for talking about the number of people he has executed? I live in WI where we don't have the death penalty but with the new Repuke governor we have I wouldn't be surprised at an attempt to bring it back.

5. I feel what I have felt for years... |
|
disgust, dismay, and a driving need to reach retirement age in one piece enough to move to and enjoy a "Blue" state for a few years. (I was brought here over 30 years ago kicking and screaming and for various reasons, mostly financial, I have stayed.) Don't get me wrong..Texas is a beautiful state with many wonderful people, but the tea party element with its disgusting leader, Rick Perry, ruin it for me.

3. The really sick part is that there have been 41 people proven |

innocent after being convicted, yet he says he sleeps easy at night. http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2011/09/08/314493/despite-41-dna-exonerations-in-texas-in-last-9-years-perry-says-he-never-loses-sleep-over-executing-the-innocent/One of them was Cameron Todd Willingham. When the forensic science used to convict him was questioned Perry disbanded the Forensic board and replaced it with his own hand picked cronies. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/death-by-fire/

At first I thought I had misread a story. I thought "no, that's got to be made up." But after reading it several places...well, sickening.

7. Given his pandering to the christian fascists |

And by that, I am referring to the Hagee types he has been courting.
Wouldn't Jesus be alive if there had been no death penalty?
