It’s the latest case related to the outbreak stemming from a teacher at Ennis High School.
State officials would not give out any information about the latest person with a contagious case of the disease, citing patient confidentiality.
None of the individuals with confirmed active cases are allowed on campus until they are cleared by the state.
The Texas Department of State Health Services has been screening students and staff who may have had contact with the contagious teacher since August. These screenings will end this week.
Also, about 200 students and staff at Denton High School were tested for tuberculosis this week, after a transfer student from Ennis fell ill. Officials are awaiting the results of those tests.
So far state health officials have analyzed 1,648 TB skin tests in association with the Ennis outbreak, and 225 people have tested positive.
