Top Democrat says (hopes) Walker will get the bootBy Dan Harrie

The head of Utah's Democratic Party predicts Gov. Olene Walker's election bid will be cut short Saturday by ultraconservatives in the Republican State Convention.
Donald Dunn says Walker is just too moderate to be stomached by convention delegates, who, by their own description, are very conservative folks.
Dunn's reading of the political tea leaves reflects some delegate polling by candidates and special interests, but it probably includes a generous helping of wishful thinking.
"The reason he would say anything about that is your very own paper
showed that Olene would pretty handily beat Scott Matheson," said Republican Party Chairman Joe Cannon. He referred to a finding that Walker polled even or ahead of Matheson even among Democrats.
