created its own storm at town meetings across Vermont with an overwhelming vote to approve the Iraq Resolution. The resolution was approved in 48 of 51 towns.
This resolution is intended to restore the balance between the states and the federal government. It is to bring the power back to the legislature.
The resolution asks the legislature to study the impact of the guard deployment.
Nationally it asks the Congressional delegation to give more power to state governments to control the guard when there is a war of choice.
Town Meeting Day in Vermont. A March snow storm does not deter democracy.
on edit: It also requests President George W. Bush to withdraw the U.S. military from Iraq.

They are pretty good old time Americans, but with out a law of war they seem nuts to the "war party".
