Hope for Peace, a Middlebury College student organization which advocates the withdrawal
of U.S. troops from Iraq and a peaceful end to the war, and other members of the Middlebury
College community, will read the names of the 3,531 U.S. Soldiers who have been killed in Iraq.
Participants will also read 3,670 names of the 65,000 Iraqi men, women, and children who have
died as a result of U.S. occupation.
The reading of the names will begin at 12:00 a.m. on March 19 and conclude 24 hours later.
Each name will be read approximately twice.
