Arlington: Fund for survivors of the recent school bus accident

There is now a fund being set up to cover the hospital bills for the 13 surviving kids, most of whom didn't have health insurance.

Lilibeth and Harrison's funeral costs were covered by previous
donors.

I do intend to contribute when I get some of my finances worked out. I used to live in that neighborhood (actually on S. Courthouse Rd.) where the accident occurred. This is a neighborhood with a lot of close-knit working class Hispanic families. Many of their parents have several jobs to make ends meet. I can only imagine the sorrow encompassing this neighborhood.

Our neighborhood was profoundly affected. I have a neighbor that teaches at Hoffman Boston, so I got a lot of updates.

Now that I have a toddler, I can't hear these stories in the same way.
