would like to report that there has been some interesting
developments over the past few weeks inlcuding the fact that Governor
Warner has created a Federal PAC. I have included links to a few news
stories. I welcome all of you to visit our website

bottom of this email.
http://rasmussenreports.com/2005/Virginia%20President%202008.htmA hypothetical Presidential match-up between the home-town candidates
finds that 46% of Virginia voters would vote for Warner while 41%
would vote for Allen. An earlier survey found that if those
candidates were to meet in the 2006 U.S. Senate election, Allen would
hold a slight edge.
Term-limited Virginia Governor Mark Warner (D) told the Richmond
Times-Dispatch that he "wouldn't take formal steps to begin a
Presidential bid until after he leaves office" next January. Most
importantly, the newspaper reported Warner does not plan to challenge
US Senator George Allen (R) next year. Instead, Warner said he is
very interested in a White House run -- but may ultimately decide to
run again for Governor in 2009. While Warner last week filed
paperwork to create a federal PAC, he said he does not plan to launch
a Presidential exploratory committee until after he leaves office in
seven months.
Here are two recent articles concerning a presidential run:
Washington Post:

LA Times:

Governor Warner also sat down with Salon.com recently for an hour
long interview that sheds some light on his
way of thinking about the Democratic Party's future. This interview
demonstrates why Governor Warner is the Democrat that has the most
national appeal in a potential presidential race.

What this all seems to suggest is that those who have not gotten
behind the effort to Draft Mark Warner for President because they are
hoping he will run against George Allen in next year's U.S. senate
race, should reconsider getting behind the national effort for Mark
Warner for President now.
The Draft Mark Warner Centrist-Moderate Coalition has already created
a national network of Warner supporters
who are actively engaged in propelling Governor Warner to the top of
the list of Democratic presidential contenders early on. We have 18
state moderators and 1 regional director on board.
Early strong support for a Warner presidental bid from southern
states is crucial to his future success.
Thank you for your time,
