UCC church vandalized
Apparently, in retaliation for their recent support of same-sex marriage.

Church Struck by Vandals, Fire

A small fire yesterday damaged a church in the Shenandoah Valley community of Middlebrook, and anti-gay graffiti was found on the outside of the church, authorities said.

The exterior of St. John's Reformed United Church of Christ also included a message that United Church of Christ members were sinners. The United Church of Christ endorsed a nonbinding resolution July 4 endorsing same-sex marriage.

2. Why do the righteous want to hurt sinners?
I've never understood this. Why do they want to hurt people or organizations that "sin"? Are they that unsure of themselves that having an alternative available is scary because they might be tempted? I would think that they would be happier to have more of "heaven" for themselves, or they woud be truly concerned for our future and try to bring us into the fold gently. Why such a violent reaction against "sinners"?

5. it is so hard to beleive
that people would actually want to kill us if they could get away with it. One must remember it did happen in VA one of the most anti gay states in the union.

6. And Staunton
The area where this happened, made the news a few months ago because a few parents new to the community were complaining about a longtime program that took K-12 public school students out of class during the school day to attend bible study off campus.
