Suffolk Mother Charged with Felony Child Neglect

A Suffolk mother who made headlines last year after being charged with felony child neglect is once again in trouble with the law.

Joni M. Allen was arrested on another felony child neglect charge Tuesday night after officials say her four-year old son fell off a ladder, breaking bones in his face and arm. She was later released on bond.

Officials say Allen was not properly supervising the boy when the accident happened on June 30th.

Last summer, Allen and her husband made headlines when home video surfaced showing her then three-year old son playing with a pistol. The video also allegedly showed the parents in the same area as the boy drinking and firing guns.
