Time to dump the Kerry sticker!
Every day in Charlottesville/Albemarle I'll pass maybe 8 or 10 cars that are still adorned with a Kerry or Kerry/Edwards sticker, eight months after the election.

Adorned with only a Kerry/Edwards sticker.

It's July 2005. The presidential election was eight months ago. The Virginia governor's race is four months from now! It's time to convert those Kerry stickers into Tim Kaine stickers.

I'm probably preaching to the choir on this forum, but here's an idea: get ahold of a batch of Kaine stickers, then keep an eye out for people getting in and out of cars with Kerry stickers and hand them a Kaine sticker and say "I saw your Kerry sticker, so I'll bet you could use this one too".

Form for single bumper sticker requests:

http://www.kaine2005.net/signUp.jsp?key=110

For multiples, call a Kaine field office

http://www.kaine2005.org/contact.asp

or your local Democratic committee office.

4. Same here. It's how we identify each other in the hinterlands

Plus, I haven't conceded yet.

And it goes quite nicely with the rest of my stickers - my Cathy Cox for Governor, Pro-Child/Pro-Choice, Church/State - Keep them Separate, and my personal fav: Democrats are Hot - Ever Hear of a Fine Piece of Elephant.

I always come of of the grocery store to find people reading my bumper. :)

Keep the Kerry Edwards stickers. It doesn't hurt anything and you get the satisfaction of knowing you're right and they're wrong.

5. Why not change your subject line to: Time to ADD a Kaine sticker.
People don't like to be told to remove their bumper stickers.

8. Too late -- editing locked
I purposely made the subject line provocative--and since it is in the Virginia forum, it's not aimed at anyone but Virginia Democrats.

The main point, really, is that there's a crucial election only 4 months away, with Tim Kaine trailing in the polls. Virginia Democrats need to get in gear or we're going to have another depressing morning-after this November.

6. If ever there was a bad way to approach something...
I am never going to remove my Kerry sticker. It makes no difference that I do not reside in Virginia. The fact of the matter is that it is a beacon to other Democrats that they are not alone in red, red states like Oklahoma or Texas or Virginia.

15. I absolutely agree!
I'm in NY, a blue state but in a very red district, and I'm sticking with my New Yorkers for Kerry-Edwards sticker. I also have DU on the opposite bumper. Call me a chicken, but I also have a Support the Troops ribbon in between them. I've heard of hostile incidents occurring in my neck of the woods and don't want my new car to be rear-ended by some Freeper in a pick-up! (I've been intimidated by one and a friend was nearly run off the road!) However, it's a moot point now, since I've acquired a second ribbon, Bring the Troops Home Now! with a peace sign on it. So far, nobody's messed with me...

But I just had another thought. When the 2006 election comes, I'm not going to have anymore room!:D

12. No I walk
I am gonna learn how to drive soon though, theres a driving school at like near Staunton. Yeah I love seing them here too, its great, Kerry had my county go democratic for the first time since 1964 which is very hard to believe if you consider how diverse Fairfax County is.

17. I ditched mine
I ditched mine the day Kerry gave in to the count. He didn't seem too interested in fighting.
I wanted Clark, maybe he will run again.
