Hey everybody, here is a copy of an email I got from Kaine.
Check below for the most important point!Dear Tim Kaine Supporter:
A Rasmussen poll released this morning in the Washington Times has Tim Kaine leading Jerry Kilgore 46% to 44% with just 11 days to go before the November 8 election. That's a four-point swing from just a week ago, when Rasmussen showed a two-point lead for Kilgore.
This new poll marks a positive shift in this race for Tim Kaine, according to the pollster:
"'In the spring and through much of the summer, the presumption was that Virginia was a Republican-leaning state
Kilgore should be able to take advantage and win a comfortable but decisive victory,' Mr. Rasmussen said. 'The fact that it has gone to a tossup is a fundamental shift in the nature of this election.'"
Tim Kaine had steadily closed the gap with Jerry Kilgore, moving what in April was an eight-point deficit to a dead-even race in September and now gaining a two-point lead. That lead has been aided by a sharp drop for Kilgore, who lost four points in the last week.
DATE KAINE KILGORE

9/28/2005 45 45
7/12/2005 41 47

What's changed?
More negative advertising from Jerry Kilgore has shown voters that all he has to offer Virginians are gross distortions of the facts about Tim Kaine's record, not a positive vision for Virginia. And Virginia voters are getting the message - the Rasmussen poll today showed Kaine with a six-point lead in favorability ratings.
Our new ads featuring Governor Warner are helping voters focus on what's really important in this election: building on the success of the last four years. This poll shows Governor Warner's approval rating at 72%.
IF WARNER HAS 72% POPULARITY IN A SOUTHERN STATE, I THINK WE JUST FOUND OUR NEXT PRESIDENT. Oh how I wish for a Warner vs. Allen election... *drool* We could take the Senate and House on those coattails!
PEACE
-Alec
