PW is a swing county--that could be good or bad. Fairfax is relatively Democratic, though not overwhelmingly so. Arlington is totally Democratic.
It depends on the county--and actually it depends on the precinct (read subdivision) the increased turnout is coming from. It could be good or bad. Probably good, but it could be bad.

I dropped a Virginian coworker off at his polling place after work today (I'm a Marylander) to vote for Kaine in Alexandria. I was impressed with the turnout for being 6:30pm.
I assume it's characteristic for NoVa to have busier polling places later in the day than the more rural parts of the state?
