2. Finally Virginia is moving in the right direction! |

I have gotten so many phone calls reminding me to vote over the past few days, and it felt great that there was so much GOTV enthusiasm. They all sounded young and they have the energy we'll need for the future.
Go Virginia!

I reassured the recordings that I would be sure to vote.

I have long been jealous of those who abide in the Peoples Republic of Alexandria. We lived there for a while, then we had kids, and moved west into Fairfax County. I can't tell you how good this feels. And you are correct, sir! Mr. Jefferson is, indeed, smiling down on the Commonwealth tonight.

I am still flipping over this one. I was sure they'd steal it, and NEW JERSEY, TOO!?!?
We deserve this.

But, I'm telling you, in these days, this Kilgore joker scared the hell out of me.
Doug Wilder probably called in serious cards for Kaine, and am I glad!

Whew. The best news of all this morning was that 'Virgin' Beach, home of Pat Robertson, went BLUE. This may be the first time ever, I can't wait to see the numbers.

I haven't looked at the paper, or checked any numbers. Virgin Beach went blue?

This rocks! :headbang: I'm normally a very gentle person, but if you were at the Marriott last night and heard someone yell at George Allen on the screen "Suck on it!" well, that was me. I'm walking on air today! B-) :toast:  :dem: :grouphug: :applause: :woohoo:

23. Northen Virginia Kirks Out |
|
My precinct 65%-35. I was at the entrance all day. First time precinct guy, I had all volunteers well deployed except one to give me a break every now and then.
In north Fairfax, this was the year of the pissed off woman voter. They would actually get angry when the Republicans tried to give them lit. It was wonderful.
WAY TO GO VIRGINIA. WAY TO GO KAINE CAMPAIGN FOR HIRING SUCH INCREDIBLY TALENTED PROS TO ORGANIZE THE THING. THESE KIDS ARE MONSTERS WHEN IT COMES TO GOTV. WE'LL HEAR OF THEM AGAIN.

In The People's Repubilc of Alexandria, the count was 24,261 for Kaine, and 9,959 for Killmore.
Now, I must go out and find those 9,959 benighted souls, and talk to them .................

Damn, No. Fairfax County? That would be too cool!
Do you realize that No. VA rejected the clown ticket by a 2 to 1 margin everywhere. I don't think it followed class lines. I'm going to look at the numbers in a few days but this is mind blowing.
Thomas Jefferson, you can stop weeping.

I'm confused about the election out there. I thought a couple of the propositions were ahead in the polls. WTF, they looked like 2-1 losers about 1/2 way though. Duh, if so, wonder how that happened.
Keep the faith. I think those 200 or so people who visited the state house after the election in 2004 had it about right.
