Va. --Brad Marrs LOST?!?!? (HUGE!)

Waddell (a Mod Conservative) for now appears to have won....by 44 votes out of 27K. Gee wonder how the Republicans will feel about recounts now?

If you weren't aware Marrs was the next big thing in the Va. Republican party. HEAVY HEAVY hitters backed him up and he was being groomed for a Lt.Gov/Gov. run and then probably Cantor's seat when Bliley's puppet runs for John Warner's Senate Seat (probably against Kaine).

Wow talk about throwing a wrench in the works!!

Well done Katherine Waddell and all those who worked on her campaign.

I voted for her anyway. Gov. Warner endorsed her.

3. Yeah, I'm well aware of all that and I'm thrilled that she managed

to unseat Brad Marrs. I went to school with him. He was cold then and he comes across as absolutely reptilian now. From where I stand, he seems cut out of the same cloth as Black and Marshall. I can't wait for him to leave the assembly. The fact that he will be replaced with someone in the mold of Panny Rhodes who will help move the Body toward the distant center excites me no end. Thank you for voting for her and helping to unseat Marrs.

So my comment was personal as well as political, but not actually partisan.

4. I hear ya. I was glad to vote for Waddell. Would have liked to

have had a Dem run against Marrs, but I since we didn't have the option, I also didn't want to do a write-in. Did some research on Waddell, and she seems reasonable.

Interesting you went to school w/ Marrs. Seems hard-core. Waddell will work well w/ Kaine I'm sure; plus she was endorsed by Warner, which is a plus. I emailed her campaign and congratulated her; said I was a loyal Democrat who gladly voted for her.
