Does the Commonwealth of Virginia have a hangover today?
My goodness. Last night, that was SO INCREDIBLY nerve-wracking it ALMOST hurt. But it was worth it.

The people of Virginia did themselves proud and they did Governor Mark Warner proud...and they gave everybody else hope that the good will out and that despite as much as the mediawhores lie to us about Junior and the Repukes...sanity remains and the people are not buying the Bush bastard's bullshit ANYMORE.

Thank you George W. Bush for going at the LAST moment to campaign for Jerry Kilgore...thank you, because you're POISON and RADIOACTIVE to Repukes at the polls now...so well done Junior for giving Virginia:

Governor Timothy Kaine.

9. I had a rehearsal until 10:30, hadn't even checked any poll results...
So I turned on the TeeVee to see George "Alfred E. Neuman" Allen's huge face filling the screen -- he looked very dour and serious; I knew it was over.

I smiled and cracked a cold one (well, two - a Bass Ale and a Red Stripe, one for me and one for Mrs. Rat).

3. Still floating in euphoria -- Bad for Bush, Good for Warner!
News 8 last night had an analyst who said that this win for Kaine was a referendum for Warner. So, I guess Mark Warner has a little political capital to spend.

It was also good to see Doug Wilder up there on stage supporting his party. Hmmm, I wonder if he might be thinking of running against Allen in 2006?

5. I actually refrained from getting drunk last night.
If I got piss-out drunk, I wouldn't have been able to savor the victory.

6. I was only meaning hangover in a metaphorical sense
What, you THINK I'm encouraging the purchasing AND consuming of alcohol? That's...SHOCKING :)

Oh heck, I can't describe how FAB that Kaine victory is. His race become SO important to me, it became about hope for our party and it became about beating back the Repuke nutjobs...and Tim Kaine did it, with the help of Virginian's.

Goodness, Northern Virginia TOTALLY kicked ass last night...Kilgore's ass in particular! And that Fairfax County result was wonderful, Kaine won there by 22%...I think I read that Senator Kerry was the first Democrat since Lyndon Johnson to win Fairfax County...so that coupled with Kaine's stunning performance last night, I think we can say that Fairfax County is NOW Democratic territory.

8. No hangover, but my
plantar fasciitis was killing me!! I was wearing my 'sitting on my butt making phone calls' shoes, not my 'hiking up and down McLean's mile-long freakin' sidewalks to knock on doors' shoes.
Dag.
And didn't you want to throw something at Wolf Blitzer, with his "3% of the precincts reporting"????? :banghead:
