Yesterday's
USA Today ran a long piece entitled
Secret military spending gets little oversight that has a lot of detail on our congressman Virgil Goode's dealings with MZM, the defense contractor whose CEO was implicated in possible influence-peddling with CA congressman Randy Cunningham. Nothing to suggest that Goode was in it for anything but jobs for his district, but a lot to suggest that those jobs trumped some concerns of national interests in defense contracts.
(Yes, I realize that a piece on pork-barrel politics is a dog-bites-man story...)
