One the most critical votes for voter-verified paper trails comes up next Tuesday, and Senator Janet Howell is a key undecided vote. She will be hearing citizen viewpoints on Saturday Jan 21 in McLean and Herndon. If you live anywhere near those areas, and can be there Saturday, please go and publicly ask her to vote for voter-verified paper audit trails. Tell her we do not need yet another 2 year study of the issue. 27 states are requiring this. More states are coming. Now is the time for VA to require paper trails. Not years later after even more counties convert to paperless machines. Sat., Jan 21, 10 am-12 noon McLean Community Center, Sen. Janet Howell and Del. Vince Callahan Sat., Jan 21, 1-3 PM Herndon, Council Chambers, Sen. Janet Howell and Del. Tom Rust If you have a choice, the meeting in McLean is best because the chairman of House Appropriations will be there, and here about how important it is to fund this one-time transition to verifiable voting equipment.
And please come to Richmond on Tuesday to help lobby and attend the Senate vote. See www.vavv.org for details
Thanks for your help, Now is the time to push. The legislature decides over the next few weeks. Virginia Verified Voting
