These two young men went missing on the lake near my house. We are hoping for a good outcome.

I grew up in Northern VA near Mount Vernon. There's a place where I still canoe and kayak and always remember that 2 boys lost their lives in a boating accident in a certain spot - we're talking 35 years ago...

I hope for the best - please make sure anyone you know who goes on the water wears a life vest!

Do they know if they had life preservers on? I live in Brandermill too, heard about the missing kids.

3. No life vests, apparently.

I live in Woodlake and my son goes to school with one of these kids at Swift Creek. Heartbreaking.

My son is always on the water. Not any more.


A friend of mine was walking her dog down by Beechwood Point in Woodlake and there was quite a crowd at Commodore's Point. She said she thinks she heard crying.

6. My Daughter Lost a Friend

on the James many years ago. I still get nauseous every time I cross the bridge. And then there were the two youngsters from Godwin who died this week. A sad time in our city.

7. I included them in Ash Wed prayers at Sacred Heart last night.

8. Still no word. It makes my skin crawl.

I have a son their age.

10. One of the boys has been found. They recovered his body yesterday

14. My son knew Travis. They went to school together.

We didn't know Jordan, he went to Blessed Sacrament. I just can't believe how tragic and sad this is.
