3. he did pretty well, i'd say |
|
he sounds a lot different than i thought he would.
he kept up with the comedic pace pretty well, but for some reason i thought he would. they call him a novice, and he is, but he's actually done better than you'd expect a first-time candidate to do, especially after his first press conference.
he threw out a good amount of red meat for the base, and some honest, sensible positions otherwise that would definitely appeal to non-politically obsessed but aware people that really are tired of the arrogance, corruption, and blind zealousness of the republican right these days.

4. coming up in the next hour on Comedy Central...... |
|
the repeat, then again at 8:30ish tonight.
I agree about the red meat, but now wondering why he's even ON Colbert this far ahead of the primary ?

5. I'd venture to say to get exposure. Primary is in June; not that |

far away, actually.
I thought he did OK. He had a good sense of humor about being on the show. I can see the Repukes going after him, saying he's a flip-flopper (Dem-Repub-Dem), but then, that's what I expect them to do.
I think I read Wes Clark's campaign manager is his campaign manager, and former Sen. Bob Kerrey is also on his team (financing?).

The fact that he was interviewed by a comedian helped break any ice, I think. Actually, his campaign manager is Clark's Oklahoma campaign manager (where he won) and Bob Kerrey is is Finance Mgr/Advisor. Part of getting national exposure is to also get national dinero coming in to help finance.
