How are Virginians taking to Webb's fighting back?

Republican Sen. George Allen attacked his Democratic challenger's opposition to a flag-burning amendment, and James Webb retaliated. "While Jim Webb and others of George Felix Allen Jr.'s generation were fighting for our freedoms and for our symbols of freedom in Vietnam, George Felix Allen Jr. was playing cowboy at a dude ranch in Nevada," said Webb strategist Steve Jarding in the statement Tuesday.

How is it playing with Viginians? I think if they can stuff the usual Rove sound bytes back in Allen's ugly face, make them a non-factor, make Allen actually defend his record, Webb may carry this thing.

I love Webb's fight back attitude. Nice to see some Repub Chickenhawks get a taste of their own medicine. I hope it will also serve as an example to some of the more timid Democrats.
