Out of State Trash
Edited on Tue Jul-04-06 04:45 PM by w4rma
I think George Felix Allen is vulnerable on this issue. His statements on his position concerning this issue have been mostly to avoid answering and I believe he did a lot to bring more trash into Virginia when he was governor.

About 89% of Virginians hate out of state trash.

7. Speaking of out of State Trash
I just heard on Meet the Press that Pa. Senator Rick Santorum pays State and Local Taxes to the state of Pennsylvania. Hell his wife and kids live in Virgina, he owns and lives in a home in Virginia. How in the hell can you people let him get away with beating the Tax guys. It's one or the other. You pay your share, why isn't he.

3. That won't float in N. VA
Most of the people here are from out of state. Up here, we have to keep focused on the issues.

9. We have to drive on I-95 with the smelly stuff. YUCK!
Those trucks stink and they even get into the HOV lanes, which I think they are not supposed to do.

4. Allen IS out of state trash
who belongs back in racially polarized southern CA, not in the first state to elect an African American governor since Reconstruction.

8. I think we can do better than this
Edited on Mon Sep-04-06 07:06 PM by demnan
I got back from Saturday's rally (Sep 2) in Fairfax County where Jim Webb said that Allen's reference to Sidarth was an insult to his, Jim Webb's culture because it was made in SW Va. He said that the mountain culture of SW Va was inclusive of people. For Allen to assume otherwise was insulting. I've seen that for myself. I lived there and was accepted by many wonderful people. I think to label someone from out of state as trash is not a good tactic. I think it belittles the culture of Virginia of all regions where so many diverse cultures and people from other states and countries come to live, because Virginia is such a great place. I wish you would put this thinking aside. It sounds really narrow and doesn't express Jim Webb's views (as I heard from him myself) at all.

We can fight George Allen on his narrow beliefs, we don't have to try to compete with them. (I say this as a native born second-generation Virginian).
