Grassroots support explodes in NOVA for Kerry'Edwards meetup

last night's meetup, for KE has been a quiet little affair for many months running between 15-20 in our local venue in Vienna VA.

The manager is very very "liberal" but just gives us a small private room with capacity of 20 (fire code is only 25 and that is limited by the setup. Jamin Java is a progress little spot and it is growing like mad

As of 6:30PM 30 minute BEFORE the event a small crowd of 15 KE partisans had gathered and a brisk business in DemSTORE material was underway. VA is a battleground state and we have negotiated quanity discounts. We had 3 boxes of T-shirts, bundles of KE buttons and lots of bumpers strips. We got cleaned out in about an hour.

30 minutes later the surging crowd of 50 plus was "meeting" in the parking lots and we almost had a small ralley going on. Several campaign operativea from our VAVictory04 regional hdqrs arrived and many events were announced over for the next 2 weeks.

As long at the volunteers keep showing up we will get them into the field. House parties (400) and visbility events at outdoor pubic and community events will be scheduled.

Since our Hdqrs has not setup a website yets and has no email blasting either we have found alternative event planners on the web.
