OT: Anyone here live in Clarke County?

We used to live in Loudoun, then moved to New York, and may now be moving again to NoVa. We've just started looking at the Clarke County/Berryville area, and want to find out if there are any areas to avoid for any reasons (such as quarries, landfills, etc.)

1. I don't live there now, I grew up nearby -

- and have many relatives in Clarke Co. It is a pretty little place - some quaint, small towns like Boyce and Millwood. Clarke is building up - is turning into a DC bedroom community aka Loudoun. I don't know about quarries and landfills but if there is trash there is usually a landfill somewhere. If you have children who will be attending public schools - you may wish to check the SOL scores for Clarke County.
