SW Virginia Duers (near Roanoke) I need a car really cheap. My son & his wife have been waiting on

disability decision for almost 2 years. They have 2 small children, no car. I can't afford a lot and don't care what it looks like as long as it runs. They need reliable transport to Drs. Appointments, kids school, social security office, etc. Only around town so it doesn't have to be great on gas. I own a small business and just went on a buying trip. Will not have much in the way of funds until I do my spring sales trip in May (providing the economy doesn't go totally into depression between now and May). In the meantime, they are just really stuck. No good bus service in Roanoke and nothing close to where they live.

If anyone knows of a beater or hears of one, please let me know. I can swing the costs for insurance but just can't come up with much for purchase right now.

I'll try to remember to ask them about it this week. One's a minivan and I'm not sure about the other.

2. Thanks. Two people have emailed to say they might have a good beater available

but both needed a lot of work. Like I said, it doesn't need to be pretty, just reliable. Let me know what they say.

One girl decided to use hers as a trade in and the other one is a sports car and I think she is asking 6000 for it.
