Precinct Captains for Obama - Prince William County

Last night I went to the brand new Obama headquarters on Prince William Parkway for a meeting of new Precinct Captains. There are three field managers - one for the Manassas area, one for Occoquan/Lake Ridge and one for Woodbridge/Dumphries. We were given a booklet and instructions to go online to use a program called Neighbor to Neighbor which is new and we are one of the first communities in the country to use it. Obama is putting a lot of emphasis on Virginia and on Prince William County. The energy was high and there were 12 people there who had agreed to be Precinct Captains. My precinct is Mohican, which encompasses those who vote at Lake Ridge Middle School.

Tonight there is a meeting at the McCoart building of the Democratic party leaders who want to meet the new Precinct Captains, so I will be there. There is a lot of energy, enthusiasm, hope and buzz in the campaign here in Prince William County.

As an angry, bitter, redneck, tree huggin' hillbilly here in Southwest Virginia, Kaine's abysmal record on health care and the environment would make me consider the McCain ticket. And, I've been one of those millions of donors who have been donating in under 50$ increments to the Obama campaign.
