I'll be driving the length of it Saturday.

1. Yes,

I drove from Morganton, NC (where there was no gas) up to Abington, and once I got into Virginia, there was no problem with gas. I then drove on I-81 from Emory to Roanoke with no difficulty.

North Carolina was a different story. There were horrendous gas lines right up to the border.
