More western Prince William County voters favored Republican President George W. Bush this election, while eastern Woodbridge and Neabsco districts voted solidly for Democratic candidate John Kerry.
Unofficial election results showed that a majority of precincts countywide voted for Bush, who received 54 percent of votes.
The county's three Republican congressional incumbents swept their competition, even in the most Democratic-leaning precincts.
A closer look at Prince William's 61 precincts shows where voters were divided down the middle, swinging to the left or leaning right.
