TOWN HALL WITH ADAM SMITH

America in Solidarity and the MICAH Project will be hosting a "Town Hall": forum with US Representative Adam Smith (D-9) the subject being the Iraq War and the Afghanistan war. This will be the first discussion forum on this subject in Western Washington in over a year! This will take place at First United Methodist Church 621 Tacoma Avenue South in Tacoma Washington. The event will open it's doors at 9:15 AM and will start at 10AM. It will last for 90 minutes. Particpants are asked to bring a "finger food" snack to share if they are able as there will be a reception afterwards. 4. No disrupters at the event in Tacoma at First UMC don't

know how the event later in the day in Federal Way went but the FW event was the one Red County was trying to get disrupters to attend.

Ninth District Congressman Adam Smith is hosting an opportunity for constituents to learn more about how lawmakers make policy decisions, and the choices they face when balancing the federal budget through the program “Principles and Priorities.”


Attendees will participate in an interactive exercise designed to provide a better understanding of the federal budget and realistic insight into how some of the policy proposals in the news would change the operations of the federal government.


The Concord Coalition, a nationwide, non-partisan, organization advocating generationally responsible fiscal policy will also be on hand to help answer questions.
