Stadium Bowl is 100 years old - celebrate and support local food banks

Pick up a collection bag at Stadium Thriftway, 618 First St. North Tacoma, or Emergency Food Network, 3318 92nd St. S., Lakewood. Fill it with non-perishable food items, and take it to one of the semi-trailers parked at Stadium High between 4 pm Friday September 17 and 4 pm Saturday September 18. Stadium High School Alumni (with help from EFN and local Teamsters) are trying to collect one million pounds of food in that 24 hour period and set a new Guinness World Record. The current record is held by a Canadian group that collected 509,148 pounds in 24 hours.

You can also help EFN by testing "hunger tnt" to 85944 to make a $10 donation. That will help support food banks in Pierce County but it won't help set a new world record.
