http://www.seattlenetwork.org/think-localDuring our pre-launch period, nearly 150 businesses signed up to participate in Think Local, our new citywide campaign to shift local buying habits in favor of local independent businesses (if your business joined, thank you!)
Our Think Local section in The Stranger has already showcased fun photos of dozens of local businesses. Now our designers, developers and other volunteers are madly getting the campaign materials and website ready to launch in early June.
Businesses that want to be listed in print materials, including the 2012 Chinook Book and our Think Local guide, must sign up by May 9.
We've created a flat-rate Basic Membership that includes the essential elements of Think Local (photo in The Stranger, in-location materials, directory profile, etc.), along with our Founding Membership for those wanting to show support at a higher level. Our members are hosting informational events throughout April in neighborhoods throughout Seattle, and discounts are available to members of supporting neighborhood business organizations. Details, rates, and an application are here.
Please help us get the word out about the program and the May 9th deadline to local businesses you know - forward this email or tell them about it when you drop in. And if you have ideas about who we should be in touch with, please let me know!
Thank you so much for your support,
