Had a small (20 acre) fire near my house this week |
|
NW WA, part of the Great Pacific NorthWet. Some kid shot bottle rockets off and one caught a grassy hill on fire, got up into the forest. There are still 50 firefighters walking the woods, monitoring it to make sure it is out.
I also noticed embers from my barbeque fell on wet grass under it and flames went along the tips of the grass towards where I hadn't wet down.
It is nothing like what's happening other places, but beware. It is SO dry out, so nice out right now that fires can start very quickly. Beware, be wary.
