but I guess you know that. You're in Morgantown, right? I think we may have chatted here before.
These winds are awesome. I saw some guy in a Suncrest parking lot flying a kite.

Is there anything better than WV in April?
I lived in CO for a while and just moved back 1 1/2 years ago. I had forgotten how incredibly beautiful it could be.

at the foot of Pike's Peak for four years!!!! omg! this is VERY different here. a friend who lived in tahoe said it best - the rockies are just so gorgeous and they inspire you with their majesty, but these wv mountains wrap themselves around you and protect you. but spring here is the prettiest i've seen anywhere most definitely. where did you live in colorado?

I was in Colorado Springs for about 15 years. I have always noticed a bizzare connection between WV and CO. Seems like I'm always meeting people who have lived only in these 2 states. Maybe it's the mountains.
Were you in Manitou? Trying to think what city is right at the foot of Pike's Peak.

up Deer Path. this was in the 70s and i think i prefer to keep it as a precious memory because from what i hear, things have changed A LOT out there... 13-mile Barr Trail was almost right outside my door heading right up Pike's Peak! those were the days.......... i always said bigfoot was really just one of the heads out there having fun!
when were you out there?

I also spent a year in Co. Springs! Ft. Carson to be exact! I loved Colorado, but hated the Army! I had no choice in the matter back in 1970! I always came back to WV, where ever I roamed though! It's the people here that I love the most! I've lived in Kolley-4-knee-ya and Florida, but I never got over my homesickness for a minute!
I'm up for a Wv/DU bash if we win in November for sure! We owe ourselves a party if we can rid the country of these blood sucking swine! Add some extra time to get there due to the huge potholes caused by the overweight killer coal trucks!
I guess Colorado would be my second choice, if they would just get rid of those damned GOPers out there!

we had just moved into our new house in Fountain, CO. Suddenly, it sounded like a bunch of people were jumping up and down in the attic. I ran outside completely spooked and looking up at the roof...turned out it was practice from Ft. Carson (a few miles down the road). During the first Gulf War, I used to joke that we got it in 3-D because I would watch it on TV and the house would shake, and I could hear the bombing from Ft. Carson going on.

16. I spent many days and nights making noise on the tank ranges! |

The GOPers love to expend ammo because it's supporting the military industrial wing of the grand old war party! I miss going up to Cripple Creek and Victor prospecting and going ghost hunting in the saloons! Even the old mining towns were pretty! The mountains back there are awsome! The Royal Gorge area is really nice! I went camping up there a lot! I worked on the New River Gorge bridge for a year but, the Royal Gorge bridge is even higher and an even better view!
