Church resolution highlights concerns about war

Jerry Morse of Chesapeake, Ohio, has had his doubts about the war in Iraq. But this fall, as the death toll for American soldiers topped 2,000, he's decided it's time to develop a strategy to bring the troops home.

In many ways, his assessment reflects to the position of the West Virginia Council of Churches, which last week issued a resolution calling for a plan to withdraw troops from Iraq. Morse attends Huntington's First United Methodist Church, one of the 14 denominations represented by the council.
