Nat Tennant to announce run for Governor |
|
FAIRMONT — Marion County’s Natalie Tennant is set to make a run for the governorship of West Virginia.
“Why not?” she asked late Tuesday in telling the Times West Virginian of her plans. “This is a great opportunity for the state.”
Tennant is currently West Virginia’s secretary of state and was sworn into that office on Jan. 19, 2009.
Tennant plans to announce her candidacy at 11 a.m. Thursday at Colasessano’s Pizza in Bellview. The party will move downtown to the Democrat Club at 12:30 p.m.
Tennant selected a home-county setting for her announcement, which will come as a surprise to many of her admirers who knew it would be coming someday — but perhaps not in 2011.

1. Does Anyone Know Anything About the Current Potential Choices? |
|
I'm familiar with Tomblin I think he's competent but a bit too "poision the hilbillies for jobs" type.
I don't think Brooks McCabe has actually thrown his hat in yet but I'd give him high marks for intelligence but being a developer that sort of is a negative for me.
I like Natalie because she is younger. Watching the State of the State it looked like some sort of a nursing home. All old white haired guys trying hard not to snooze off because 7pm was past their bed time. But I know very little about Tenant and where she would actually stand politically.
