What YOU can do to help Kerry win West Virginia... |
|
What can you do to help John Kerry win West Virgina? Or should I say what can West Virginia do for the nation? You see, I think this year's election will come down to West Virginia's 5 electoral votes. Personally, I think that Bush will win Ohio and Colorado. And I believe that Kerry will win Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, New Hamphsire, and New Mexico. So where does that leave WV? If everything else played out as predicted for both campaigns, then that would leave the candidates in a dead tie at 269-269 tie. The only problem with that is the fact that it takes 270 electoral votes to win the Presidency. If Kerry wins WV, the election would be tied. We must win some other states and I acknowledge that. You WV Dems know that your state is a Democratic stronghold, don't concede your 5 votes to evil Bush in November.
Pres: R (2000) Gov: D US Senate: 2 D State Senate: 28-D 6-R State House: 75-D 25-R
... we can win WV, we just need your help. Get the word out, put a bumper sticker on your car, put a sign in your yard... it will be the little things that will make the great state of West Virginia's electoral votes blue. It's up to you though, now get to work. Thanks, BamaLefty.

1. I took a drive this morning and... |

I drove about 25 miles around the capitol city area counting yard signs!
41 John Kerry/John Edwards 9 Bush/Cheney
I'm feeling better about WV every day!
The word is, that this county has registered 9,000 new voters so far! That was about a week ago that I heard that, so they may have registered several more since then! Today Oct/13 is the last day one can register, so if you haven't done so, please do it NOW!

Morgantown has also signed up thousands of young people to vote in the last month or so since school started. Every time I walked by the voter registration booth at the HSC there were 2 or 3 people filling out the forms.
