should we lobby 950 AM in huntington to extend tom hartmann? |
|
it's a locally-owned station, so we might have some leverage. we could make the case that o'reilly isn't going to peel away any of rush's wingnut audience and that they would have better luck playing to another segment of the market--democrats
they already give us ed schultz, hightower's commentaries, and an hour of hartmann, maybe they would be receptive to the idea of dumping bill and getting us hartmann's full show

1. I'd say yes.................... |

Not in Huntington, but I love the Thom Hartmann show! His show would be perfect for WV; not only does he have great politics, but he also shows a lot of historic precedent for what he proposes. Also, he's not a reactionary and that seems to give him a bit more credibility.

and I recently had a conversation with folks from the station. They lean left.
Write or call them and let them know how much you appreciate their new programming (of Progressives). Trust me here. They really appreciate it.
Most of all, they want the airwaves to be for ALL of us and not a steady diet of one political point of view. I found them quite accommodating and pleasant to talk with.

3. I would like to see them go AAR |

We already have a total right wing station (WVHU). I would like to see 930 go all Air America except carry Hartmann.
