GOP chief denies Manchin probe (West Virginia)

Last summer, state GOP Chairman Kris Warner and his brother Mac Warner bragged about hiring a private investigator to dig up dirt on Gov.-elect Joe Manchin, according to Dick Leggitt, who ran the gubernatorial campaign for Monty Warner, Kris and Mac Warner’s brother.

Kris Warner said he did not hire a private investigator and that none of his brothers have talked to him about hiring one.

Mac Warner said, “I have no comment about anything to do with Dick Leggitt.”
