| 1. Well, it's sort of a put down of Walker, and that is good, |
|
because Walker is a dyed in the wool Thatcherite.
With Walker as Gov, privatization would really have support of the Governor's office.

| 2. I don't know what to think about that. |

I was in middle school when Tommy was nominated for HHS secretary, but I remember him being quite popular. He seems to have done a lot of work regarding health care, but I don't think I would want him back as governor over a solid Democrat.

| 5. Oh come on - what did he do? |
|
He formed a company after he was HHS and got a huge government contract! That isn't doing any good for health care....

| 6. Wikipedia has a few paragraphs about his involvement in the healthcare. |
|
He was known for not hiring anyone critical of Bush when he was HHS Secretary though.
One of Tommy's good things for Wisconsin was BadgerCare. There is a good chance that Walker would try to gut BadgerCare if he ends up governor.
Like I said though, health care is only one issue, and I want to see a solid Democrat in office.

There are worse out there than Tommy-boy, but he will never come close to being as good as the worst Democrat.

| 11. Times have changed too much for Tommy |
|
He tried to steer around the really divisive issues like gays, abortion, etc. On concealed carry he told the republican legislative leadership, "I don't want that piece of legislation on my desk." It is a different world now. Why don't we go all the way for the nostalgic feeling and bring back Scott Jensen, Chuck Chavla, Gary George, etc.??
