local party had a booth at the county fair this past weekend. This is in a traditionally republican area.
I did not spend any time at the booth because well---my kid got married and
i sort of had other stuff planned for me.
but the report from the people who were there.
Some of the crowd was awful.

We had a volunteer spat on

We had a fair participant arrested for harrassment i guess--the stupid fool
kept it up right infront of the local police and then refused to produce id for them.....

a goodly number of birthers

a fair number os just plain racists. "take your black president back to Kenya with you-where you belong" etc etc

So be careful--the loonies are out of their caves and now feel free to express their sickness.
This is what is new.......
Being a complete ASSHOLE in public is beooming acceptable.

Green Bay, WI)—A group of unruly radicals disrupted Congressman Kagen’s Healthcare Listening Session last night. This group of radicals used the tactics outlined in a “DisruptersMEMO” to the letter and even went beyond what the memo called for.

This radical group came over two hours before the event took place to pack the auditorium and make sure no one who actually wanted to have debate or ask a legitimate question of the Congressman could. As the crowd worked itself into a frenzy, any hope for a debate on the issues was lost. Similar groups in other areas are responsible for chasing Congressional representatives to their CARS and HANGING others in effigy.

We had enough of their bullshit at our party office last fall. So I expected the same level of grief at the fair booth. Figured the knuckle draggers would be too busy assaulting congresscritters to bother with little ole us, but I'm beginning to think we'd better be prepared.

Perhaps a video camera will scare the fools off. They're usually pretty brave until they think their actions might show up in court or on the news in full technicolor glory.

4. Thanks for the great idea

I worked our fair tonight and had a couple of deathers bother us. One said he was just in France, my guess he hasn't left the state his entire life, and didn't see any handicapped or old people. It was a new one as I hadn't heard the "health plan will kill handicapped" rant before. He didn't know how to respond when my booth mate suggested they were all on vacation. This deather wasn't the brightest bulb.
