http://www.wausaudailyherald.com/article/20090822/WDH0101/908220483/1981A group organizing a health care "town hall" meeting featuring ABC journalist and commentator John Stossel has ties to previous allegations of illegal campaign practices and has left questions unanswered about its current activities.
Americans for Prosperity, a group that pushes for tax cuts and less government spending, is planning an event Thursday at the Rothschild Pavilion that spokesman Bob Delaporte said will help people "get the facts about health care."
Whatever the coming discussion, the conservative group's state director Mark Block has faced accusations of illegal campaign practices.
Dane County Circuit Court records show Block paid a $15,000 fine following a complaint in 2000. Reid Magney, spokesman for the state's Government Accountability Board, said Block was accused of illegally coordinating efforts between the campaign of then State Supreme CourtJustice Jon Wilcox and an independent group disbursing political material.

What's not in this online version is that Russ Feingold is having a listening session in Reitbrock, Wisconsin on Tuesday morning (I'm going). In today's Wausau Daily Herald, this is included in the article. There's a mixture of comments in the article; think I'll chime in.
