2. They have a cute trick to get around it

The recording introduces the pitch but never mentions the firm's name. We don't have caller ID but I'll bet there's no way to track them that way so you could report their violation. After a while it asks you to press 1 for more information. If you do that, you've become their customer and do-not-call doesn't apply anymore. Neat.
