Local news this morning was talking about how concealed carry will likely be a reality in the Badger state, with legislation EARLY NEXT YEAR (as in less than 3 weeks from today).
The very next story was about the shooting at a School Board meeting in Florida (a concealed carry state) the story after that was about a young mother killed in crossfire @ a California strip mall, shot in the stomach as she was putting her child in the car seat.
It seems like about 30% of our population are pretty crazy and they've elected the people who will be running things for a while.
We get the government we deserve.
STILL bummed out this morning...

1. In a civil society guns serve little purpose; however, as we |
|
are governed more and more by illiterate folks, we seem to get hicks with sticks mentality. I guess the sheriff will have to tell those to leave their guns at the door during church services. I can't even imagine what the drinking scene is going to look like after these folks load up their guns for a fun night out.....

2. Concealed carry is the only handgun law that actually works fighting crime. |

Joe Mugger is going to think twice about knocking down Granny and robbing her if she might have a .357 in her bra. :-)
And the hysteria about "crazies with guns" doesn't make any difference if there is concealed carry or not.
Crazies will carry guns.

..do you arrest a person for packing a gun while drunk?
In a state of heavy drinkers, I think I will pass on ever going home again.

4. In states that have CC, how many drunken incidents are there? |
|
According to law enforcement, pretty much the same.
I'm not the "gun nut" stereotype, but I've actually gone hunting, and traget practice shooting. And I had fun doing it.
This "crazies, drunks and bad guys prove that nobody should have a gun" is pure horse puckey.
