1. Dividing 250,000 jobs by 8 years |
|
yields 85.6 jobs per day that he needs to create. If he hasn't created any by next week this time, the figure will rise to 85.8 jobs per day. If he hasn't created any by this time next year, it's 97.8 jobs per day.
And the crucial question is: If President Obama fixes the economy and lots of jobs get created all over the country, does Scotty get credit for the ones in Wisconsin?

to Illinois, or wherever. So he's got some catching up to do. He's also planning to downsize state government, so that's another bunch of jobs lost--we don't know how many yet, but he's pledged to reduce the number of state employees by something like 25%. There are currently around 40,000 state employees in Wisconsin, so that's another 10,000 jobs he's in the hole. Also worth noting that those 250,000 jobs are supposed to appear by 2015, not 2019. So, adding it all up, it works out to 66,375 jobs/year, or 91.25 jobs/day.
Walker's a complete moron, obviously, and has no idea what he's doing--he's never created a job in his life, but he has already destroyed thousands of them. He wants to take a hammer to the public employee unions, too, which is guaranteed to get ugly.

Remember the old bumper sticker that the Teacher's Unions used to put out? It read:
IF YOU THINK EDUCATION IS EXPENSIVE TRY IGNORANCE!
We're about ready to see the true cost of IGNORANCE...
ignorance of the voters ignorance of the elected officials.
and, it WILL BE EXPENSIVE!
